Oh, I Get By with a Little Help from My Friends

Gov. Ralph Northam (D) is making an aggressive push to revive gun control proposals that GOP lawmakers killed in last year’s General Assembly session, seizing what he senses is Democratic momentum as the legislature convenes next week. [More]
And Jorge helped him.

I'm not going to get dressed down again, am I?

Of Course You Realize This Means War

Here's the ballot measure they're trial-ballooning. Of special note:
"This Amendment recognizes the Florida National Guard and other organized police forces as the well-regulated militia of the State and authorizes them to keep and use military style weapons."
Here's the man behind the curtain.

"Stop the Killing." For "progressives," every day is Opposite Day.

Still, it's nice of the less self-controlled in the Totalitarian Lobby to occasionally give us a glimpse of what their more circumspect colleagues aren't ready to reveal yet.

Before I get too bent out of shape, I notice the main group behind this has been on Twitter since May and only has two followers.  Still, things can change rapidly with the right Astroturf interests backing you, so for now focus on more immediate threats but do be aware this exists and could grow into significance under the right circumstances.

Savage Nation

“I OWN 3 GUNS AND I CAN DO SOME SERIOUS F—ING DAMAGE,” the email went on. “I WILL KILL AS MANY OF YOU RACIST-SUPPORTING/ENABLING WHITE SUPREMACISTS AS I F—ING CAN.” [More]
This is what happens when the low-hanging fruit gets riled by "progressive" ideologues who can't conceive of personal repercussions.

Reporting this to the authorities shows this is a very real terrorist threat. I wonder if Michael Savage might be rethinking his obnoxious and ignorant position on guns.

Thing is, there are plenty in the "Democrat" camp who think this is all fine, self-inflicted and deserved.  Case in point:

A prediction about reaping whirlwinds comes to mind.

Riling the Mob

I'm sure there must be a really legitimate reason "New York-based journalist" Samira Sadeque and the editorial professionals at The Daily Dot felt it appropriate to include this prominently in their "report."

UPDATE: About those two "white" suspects identified in enough detail for a police sketch:
Despite the initial description widely circulated for nearly a week, the tipster said gunman was a black man, and that he was the passenger in a car driven by another black man. The emailer didn't offer the alleged driver's full name, but instead directed investigators to an Instagram account that authorities used to figure out his real name: Eric Black Jr.
Looks like Mom's got some 'splainin' to do.

Now that the mob has been riled, will we see equivalent efforts and apologies to correct the record?

"Anonymous": It's not clear to whom your comment is directed. If to me, perhaps you'd be good enough to point to the new information on this breaking story that would have been uncovered by "homework" at the time this post was made, and also to identify any "bloviating" in my one-sentence comment that is consistent with the definition.

Going for the Kill

Desperate to bring the Tyranny of the Majority to our representative democracy, on the first day Democrats assumed control of the House of Representatives, Rep. Steve Cohen (D-TN) submitted a bill to kill the electoral college. [More]
Sounds like more than that could get killed...

So Steve has a plan.

This seems to be a trend.

Glad to see she so appreciates a system that made it possible to take in her parents and allow them to breed replacements.

Here's the rest of the takeover plan:
We must provide a clear pathway to citizenship for all undocumented Americans, we must dismantle our deportation machine and detention centers, and we must enhance access to justice for immigrants availing themselves of our legal system. We must protect DREAMers and welcome asylum-seekers. We must be guided by empathy, not fear, and we cannot compromise in our fight to upload and respect the human rights of people seeking shelter inside our borders.
It's their right! And yes, of course she demands to undermine yours. By force.

Good thing my concerns have  nothing to do with that "single issue."

It's no secret I steer clear of forums due, among other reasons, to past negative experiences, so I was pleasantly surprised to see the discussion on our lawsuit being so well-received. Yes, there is the occasional naysayser and nitpicker, but overall the seven pages of current comments have been very supportive.

The biggest disagreement I have is with the first comment...
