The Clouseau Solution

Law enforcement officials were seen escorting employees one by one of the company out of their 35,000-square-foot facility on Allied Drive. Each employee was searched next to their personal vehicle, had their vehicle searched and, when cleared, were allowed to leave the premises. No individuals were witnessed being arrested. [More]
I suspect everyone and I suspect no one.

A Matter of Choice

I fear too many have already made the wrong one.

Read this.

That Vanderboegh--he's one hell of a writer, isn't he?

And Again...

I keep telling you, I don't go out of my way looking for "Only Ones" stories...and once more, you can't tell it from today's lineup.

To critics, am I really supposed to ignore this...?

We're the Only Ones Showing Off Enough

Authorities show off security system in Tampa [More]
And yeah, I know "Authorized Journalist" police state cheerleader Howard Altman tells us it's for "drug dealers, smugglers and terrorists," like arranging their own ride to do their secretive business is beyond them, but we all know who is most likely to be intimidated.
"We want people to know we are here...We want the traveling public to get a sense of security, to know we are here."
We want you to know that we can subject you to whatever we want any time we want.

We want you to know we're the "Only Ones"--and you're not.

And the fed tells us his activities aren't "threat driven."

Say, I wonder--has Greyhound started issuing safety guarantees yet?

And Now a Word from Albany Police Officers Union President Chris Mesley

Two words, actually.

The first begins with "F."

The second sounds like "ewe."

Which may turn out to be fitting if the sheep end up offering more mutton and wool to this scavenger.

The One Thing That's Missing...

Begin transcript about half-way down page:
Finder, along with a group called Ceasefire PA has launched a grassroots campaign to get local governments to sign on to what's become a highly controversial law called "Lost and Stolen Ordinances." Supporters of gun rights hate it. The ordinances require gun owners to report if their weapons have been lost or stolen usually within 24 hours. [More]
The one thing that's never mentioned in this--and I wish the pro-gun people they interview would pick up on this--is there is one group that will always be immune to these stupid edicts: the criminals who are causing the problem.

Why, you ask?

Since they're "prohibited persons," how can you compel them to incriminate themselves if their gun is stolen? And since they're "prohibited persons," they can't "legally" own guns in the first place.

We're the Only Ones Washing Away Our Sins Enough

Cop forgets child porn in laundry room...But the forgetful officer will not face criminal charges, as a prosecutor was able to ascertain that the pornographic material consisted of evidence in an ongoing police investigation. [More]
I mean, who doesn't keep kiddie porn on the same memory stick as pictures of his own kids? And what "Only One" doesn't mix evidence with personal items?

Ewww...the term "tainted evidence" just popped into my mind...

Still, I can't help but wonder if he was using New Blue Cheer...?
