Shelter from the Storm

It is not ours to restore the power of the Constitution, it is ours to show them the wrath of America without the protections the Constitution offers them. Let them restore it to find refuge from us. [Read]
Subversives who wish otherwise would do well to consider the unintended consequences if they get their wish.

And true, it's not for everybody, but the "wholly inadequate" seem bent on weeding themselves out.

Issa, Meehan, Grassley to Holder: Unseal Fast & Furious wiretap apps

They also remind Holder his testimony “that wiretap applications ‘don't always go into all of the techniques that are used in a particular investigation’” falls far short of that standard. [More]

Rahm Declares Total War on IL Gun Owners

Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel wants lawmakers to require that all handguns in Illinois be registered with the state, or gun owners could face felony charges. [More]
So, Illinois gun owners: If this passes, will you obey or will you defy?

And for the record, I never expect anyone to do anything I haven't done myself when California tried this bullshit on what they demonized as "assault weapons."

Will anyone join me in sending a message?

The url goes to the same Arnhole clip I just sent Dave.

Dave Perry: Better than Us. Just Ask Him.

You see, being smarter than gun-nuts, I realize that I’m OK with me carrying a little pistol in my pocket, but I am in no way OK with you carrying one. [More]

And then there's this revealing sentiment:
Dude, this ain’t Wyoming.
See, he's not only smarter than us, he's also more sophisticated!

Good Cause

Those of you who live in "May Issue" states where you have to provide "good cause" for a "permit":

Try putting down that you've been warned Jesus is going to return and stab you with a flaming sword.

Look, I'm not against this guy carrying in the Capitol--and appreciate the acknowledgement that police can't protect you, and especially like exposing hypocritical Democrat rabble-rousers for stirring up their hate-filled lynch mob supporters.  I'd just want to make sure there's no "Only Ones" elitism going on, where representatives are afforded more recognition of rights than those they supposedly work for.

Go Go Go Go Goodyear!

"I believe it's a personal decision. I personally would make a different decision," Goodyear says.

He doesn't think anyone should be allowed to bring a gun onto a school campus. [More]
In other words, it's his personal decision that he would impose on everyone else.

So what's he prepared to personally do about it if someone disobeys? Aside from run like he's got wings on his feet...?

To theme music...
