Balancing Out in the End

News of Sen. Ben Ray Luján’s (D-N.M.) stroke sent shockwaves through the Senate on Tuesday, underscoring the fragility of Democrats’ 50-50 majority. Democrats are in the majority because they have 50 seats and the ability for Vice President Harris to break a tie. Luján’s absence leaves them at 49 seats until he returns, with his office saying he’s expected to make a full recovery. [More]

Push comes to shove, the Democrat governor has that covered.

I take it he got the jab?

Add Another Grievance to the List

Los Angeles County Supervisor Kathryn Barger called on officials to alter the mask mandate after California Gov. Gavin Newsom and other state political glitterati were pictured maskless with Laker legend Earvin “Magic” Johnson during the NFC Championship game. [More]

One more thing for the hive insects to attack her on:

But right wing Republican Kathryn Barger, who has a longstanding relationship to gun nuts wants to keep gun stores open. This makes no sense. Barger wants to strip the Sheriff’s of the power to close down the guns stores so her radical friends can stockpile more guns and ammo. Tell Kathryn Barger to focus on finding us more medical treatment and not more guns. We are all in this together and do NOT need more gun and ammunition sales in LA County.

Death Star Defense

The political action committee aligned with Georgia’s gubernatorial candidate Stacey Abrams spent more than $1.2 million on private security in 2021 despite the founder’s push to defund the police in the past, according to a report. [More]

Why do law-and-order conservatives" always cite "defund the police," as if they are ever in a position to protect you when you need it?

The real issue is the way that Marxist walrus subverts our right to protect ourselves.

A Hill to Die On?

But why then does Secretary of State Antony Blinken continue to insist there is an “open door” for Ukraine to NATO membership — when that would require us to do what U.S. vital interests dictate we not do: fight a war with Russia for Ukraine? [More]

Global Revenuers

Crucially, the strategy comprises a number of measures that would negatively affect the image and trade of alcohol, should they be implemented by WHO member countries, with the agency’s executive board calling for “accelerated action to reduce the harmful use of alcohol” – which appears to involve interventionist techniques to drop consumption across the board, as opposed to targeting problem drinkers. Received via email from a reader who has been trying for some time to get an answer from his representative and been consistently ignored. This is especially relevant in light of the letter from the defense attorney about magnetic locks and how someone would have had to open the Capitol doors from the inside.

Perhaps if one-on-one attempts to get an answer don't work it would help expedite matters to just ask him publicly.
