Philly DA purposely turns blind eye to ‘gun crime tip’

If Perks' unbelievable statement is taken at face value, it means no one but the victim of a misdemeanor can report a crime to the District Attorney's office, and they must do so in person. [More]
Today's Gun Rights Examiner report looks at the type of sleazy soul-selling one must be willing to engage in to enjoy the "perks" of public troughdom.

[G]uns have effectively become the emblem of the ongoing great white male right-wing freak-out.

A Big "If"

Never mind that the White House is claiming executive privilege for something they claim they weren't involved in...no one said any of this had to make legal or moral sense.

I do wish the editorial writers would realize that the "backfire" occurred when the thing got exposed...

Gunwalking to the Sinaloas

A bunch of you have sent me this link.  My response:

Heard it before--Robert Farago of TheTruth About Guns has been writing about a drug cartel connection for some time, so these folks shouldn't be claiming credit for being the only place you'll hear about this--and this is also not the first place to report the allegations from a guy with his head in the noose.

As an aside, I've also heard from an independent source that guns were going to Mexican "freedom fighters." I have no way to independently verify that, but supposedly Univision is going to be doing a report on this.

I agree that all documents from all times need to be investigated. I don't agree with the blanket claim that everyone else is wrong, especially with the level of actual evidence vs allegation I see these people building their report around. If they have insider sources feeding them any of this, they're keeping that pretty close to the vest.

I can only base what I write on stuff I have credible reason to believe.

Last Sunday on Armed American Radio

Being in Atlanta for the Georgia Carry Convention, it was fun being in-studio for a change with Mark Walters and guest John Monroe.  Earlier in the day, feral younger son Qusay and I participated in one of Mark's fantastic "grilling while armed" events at his home, which he and his family graciously made us welcome in.

It was a lot of fun.  What a nice group of people.

More later. A ton of catch-up to do first.
