ICYMI: Firearms Friday Redux

Great day today with some of the 2A headlines from around the country at the start of hour one, then a couple segments with David Codrea from WarOnGuns.com. Then in hour two we do a quick 'Gun Q&A' and finishing up with Willie Waffle for the weekend movie review. [More]
Here's this morning's Michael Dukes Show.

A New Hire

Forget Drudge – if you want real conservative news, visit us at BonginoReport.com every day. [More]

I have replaced the aggregator on my favorites bar. I first started noticing how increasingly useless Drudge was during Fast and Furious reporting.

We're the Only Ones Confiscating Enough

They called the Crestview Police Department. Officers came to the party and checked the couple's identifications to make sure they weren't convicted felons, police spokesman Maj. Andrew Schneider said. The responding officer initially allowed the father-to-be to keep the gun, which is a Mossberg 715T semi-automatic rifle. The next day police asked him to turn it over to the department. [More]

When Flux Capacitors Go Bad

A 911 call Thursday led to a precautionary evacuation of an entire street in a Northwest Side neighborhood in Columbus over concerns about a possible small nuclear reactor and alpha waves reported by a resident who said he sustained burns in his garage on the device. In the end, authorities found no hazard. The man will undergo a mental-health examination and may face charges of inducing a panic. [More]

Sounds like he's not the only one who needs his head examined.

We're the Only Ones Asterisked Enough

He used the word 'n***a,' which is commonly used in the African-American community," court documents state recounting the union's argument. The arbitrator rejected this argument stating: "It is not necessary for purposes of this award to distinguish between the words 'n****r' and 'n***a.'" [More]

Kenney is known to support open borders although he has deleted many of his posts supporting illegal immigration from Bearing Drift and his own blog, ShaunKenney.com. Kenney refers to those of us in the party who oppose illegal immigration as ‘nativists’. [More]

How's the saying go? "Republicans, they thirst for death."

The options aren't pretty, are they?

Didn't You Just Know This was Coming

4 dead in shooting incident at Pensacola naval base; suspect was Saudi national, officials say [More]
Tell me they didn't know that yesterday when the information was being deliberately withheld pending figuring out the best way to break the news.

I guess that was a different one. I gotta stop trying to rush this stuff. Who'da thunk two?

At least this part is true:

Rigorous!

We're the Only Ones Post-Traumatic Enough

A former California Highway Patrol officer claims he was suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder when he allegedly shot his neighbor during an off-duty dispute two years ago...[More]

Then again, he could just be a sociopathic alcoholic and parasitic coward.

We're the Only Ones Unarresting Enough

Physical differences and limitations exist that can affect performance and make things much more dangerous, even if this truth enrages some who will attack anyone observing it.

A Higher Law

“Lawlessness has no place in Virginia Beach,” Galindez said. [More]
Agreed.

Anyone deliberately subverting "the supreme Law of the Land" needs to be stopped and rendered incapable of doing further damage.

Tazewell County Forms Militia in Response to New Virginia Gun Laws [More]

We talked about this briefly yesterday, or at least I did.

Between those demanding it all and those saying "Not another inch," Virginia really is turning into a flashpoint state. Between the pending anti-"paramilitary" edict and another piece I'm working now for AmmoLand, and my still-in-development Part 2 for my Firearms News militia article, we're seeing lines being drawn.

Interesting times we live in, no?

We're the Only Ones Cracking You Up Enough

A Florida woman whose neck and spinal cord were broken in a brutal beating by guards at Lowell Correctional Institution in August has been transferred from the prison infirmary to an outside medical facility, but her lawyer says he doesn’t know why she was transferred or where she is. [More]
Forget "Who will guard the guards." If what this is accusing them of is true, who will crucify the sonsabitches?

Semper Inferior

Between the questions of constitutionality, the City & State’s sudden ‘change of heart,’ and the matter of unrestricted transport, this is where I see this case not being moot. [More]

This is a pretty thorough and compelling analysis and has the added benefit of appearing in a "mainstream" venue. With all that considered, we all have an interest in sharing the link around and even in leaving relevant comments, to demonstrate to those in charge of editorial admissions that intelligent coverage of this topic boosts readership and to help important voices escape the echo chamber.

I started writing this post before I went on the Michael Dukes Show this morning, and we discussed that, as well as my problem of not being able to think of a good title for it. Noting the article appears on Shore News, he suggested somehow incorporating New Jersey's motto, "Liberty and Prosperity." Noting the story itself takes place in New York, and their motto is "Excelsior!" ("Higher!" or "Ever Upward!"), well, what I came up with works for me...

The Man Who Would Be King

"It's time to say enough is enough. We're just not going to put up with it anymore," Bloomberg said after describing a sweeping agenda that includes banning assault-style weapons, requiring everyone to obtain a permit before purchasing a firearm and instituting a national red-flag law to allow authorities to seize guns from those deemed a threat to themselves or others...Bloomberg's plan also includes banning high-capacity magazines; setting a minimum age of 21 to buy handguns, semi-automatic rifles and shotguns; requiring a 48-hour waiting period before all gun purchases; temporarily banning gun possession for those convicted of assault and other violent crimes; and overturning a law that gives gun manufacturers broad immunity from lawsuits. [More]

I'm sorry, that doesn't fit in with my plan.

How about with yours?

How Many More Straws?

The left does not understand Americans. Collectively, liberals are nothing more than one nationwide echo chamber where no one who disagrees with them is allowed a voice. Thus, they believe people will quietly and meekly do as they are told. Yet, what they will get is rage. They blithely proceed under a delusion, unaware that Americans are not going to give up their guns. [More]

I've thought before that if I were truly afraid of someone, the last thing I'd want to do is be in his face screaming at and threatening him. So when they say they're afraid, naturally, they're lying.  They're bullies who believe they have the upper hand and have no idea what those they are harassing are capable of if provoked beyond tolerance.

It should be no surprise. Just look at their overall worldview. How much more proof do we need that most are stupid and easily led by the evil.

Firearms Friday

I'll be joining in with Michael Dukes again this morning starting at 10:20 Eastern, no doubt to see what I have to say for myself about recent troublemaking. Assuming most here don't live in broadcast range of his Alaskan stations, we can scroll down to the "Common Sense Livestream" link on the show's website and listen live. [Listen]
