Another Fudd for Obama

Anybody know this Greg West tool? I've found a few name matches in searches, but don't want to publicly speculate on any of them being him if it's not--if anyone KNOWS him, please tell us what you know.

I note Fuddites and bedwetters are dominating the conversation on the CBS site so far...

Bogus Scholarship

Bogus solicited only articles hostile to the individual right view of the Second Amendment, offering authors $5,000 each. But word leaked out, and Prof. Randy Barnett of Boston University volunteered to write in defense of the individual right to arms. Bogus refused to allow him to write for the review, later explaining that “sometimes a more balanced debate is best served by an unbalanced symposium.”
David Hardy relates Obama's affiliation with the Joyce Foundation and the stunning, Orwellian dishonesty they have employed in the subversion of our rights.

The only appropriate word for these tyranny-promoting academic frauds and the source enabling them is "evil."

We're the Only Ones Who Like Our Beef Rare Enough

I guess they're finally getting around to mooving on this...

I don't think I'll be the "Only One" to speculate on why he may have found livestock more appealing...

I suspect this may be a Zargonian conspiracy--I was going to have a burger for lunch, but now I've lost my appetite.

Domestic Terrorists for Gun Control

William Ayers, author of A Kind and Just Parent: The Children of Juvenile Court (Beacon Press, 1997), says "We should call a child a child. A 13-year-old who picks up a gun isn't suddenly an adult. We have to ask other questions: How did he get the gun? Where did it come from?"
A blast from the past that did not involve real bombs...

Oh and look--he was joined by other anti-gun "community organizers."

Bulletproof

The company’s customers include politicians, royalty and movie stars.
And don't forget crime bosses.

There's a difference, right? Still, I'm glad those causing and abetting the problem--those with routine access to armed protection--are more immune to the effects of their actions than the disarmed populace. I mean, what's the point of being elite if you're not better than everybody else?

Y'know, none of this would be necessary if we could just ban those damned American gun store and shows. I'm sure that's where those "drug assassins" are getting their "rocket launchers and grenades" from, aren't you?

Because if we can't believe BATFU, who can we believe?

And the Coveted WarOnGuns "Authorized Journalist" Award Goes to...

...Eugene Driscoll, Staff Writer for The News-Times of Danbury, CT, for his reference to a policeman's "service revolver."

As I indicated, I emailed the Brookfield PD and just received this reply:
The reporter should have written “Pistol”. We haven’t carried revolvers in 20 years.
So congratulations, Eugene. You join the ranks of France's prestigious AFP and a select group of "Authorized Journalists" for presuming to inform your readership while masking damn near total subject matter ignorance.

Keep it up while writing about gun-related issues and I predict big things for you.

Barbaric Religious Fanatics

A Muslim cleric has called for Saudi women to wear a full veil, or nigab, that reveals only one eye, in order to control seduction...
Yeah, shift the blame to the object of your sick fixation, you repressed medieval deviant.

There's no reasoning with zealots like this. No middle ground. No compromise possible. They won't allow it.

Kind of like the fanatics who freak at the prospect of armed citizens. Like we're responsible for their perverted fantasies.

BATFU's Craig W. Roegner: "'Some Knucklehead"

Kilpatrick was driving her blue van in Pensacola on April 19, 2004, with the slogans “Remember the Children of Waco” and “Boo ATF” written on some of the windows when she was pulled over by police for questioning by the ATF.
Unbelievable. And unAmerican.

Make sure you read the Order on Summary Judgment and listen to the 911 call.

"Remember Waco" rises to the level of a dragnet, with the attendant deployment of "Only One" resources? And seeing as how this was no emergency, how was it not a criminal abuse of the 911 system?

Gee, since he's involved in a court case, I wonder if referring to BATFU's "some knucklehead" Craig W. Roegner will result in an actual Marshal Dave response now that I've been warned?

What cowards these creatures are. What brownshirts.

About the Palm Pistol...

We've talked about this before.

Constitution Arms President Matthew Carmel wanted to address some of the comments made on gun boards discussing it:

David:

Regarding the single shot issue, I have been following many blog threads and this seems to be a common objection. I am aware of both the limitations and advantages to a single shot design as described in the specification document posted at http://www.palmpistol.com/. There are many single shot self defensive firearms and devices which have their place in the market such as pepper sprays, Derringers, etc. Most notably, Tasers, which are quite successful, are also single shot and not nearly as effective as a live cartridge.

The Palm Pistol is not for everyone. But firearm enthusiasts fail to appreciate there are many people, particularly seniors and disabled, who due to physical limitations or simple intimidation, would be unable to properly wield a traditional revolver or semi-automatic.

Also note I am applying for DME (Durable Medical Equipment) coding for the design since I believe this assistive device may qualify as such under CMS (Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services) regulations. If successful, it is possible some insurance companies many offer partial reimbursement for purchase if the insured is disabled. I don't expect Medicare to reimburse but anything is possible, particularly if an argument concerning ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) compliance can be made. If a DME coding is issued, this will be the first in the nation that I am aware of and I would hope that people who believe in the RTKBA, for everyone including the disabled, should welcome and support my efforts.

All the so-called "experts" insisted the design would be classified as AOW and I proved them wrong. I have learned long ago to ignore the advice of experts if your own logic and research suggests otherwise.

Matt
I've always admired originality from those demanding to chart their own course in spite of "conventional wisdom." While the majority is picking things apart, trying not to rock any boats, and throwing sand on the new, the innovators push forward despite the catcalls, bringing progress to us all through revolutionary ways of thinking.

Dignifying the Group

"If Norfolk doesn't begin to get it right, Danladi may wind up owning a yacht or a castle somewhere," he said. "At some point, the people of Norfolk are going to get tired of their tax money being thrown away because the police are violating a basic right," he added.
Too bad the "public servants" don't have to pay out of their own pockets--that'd put a stop to it.

How telling that Councilman W. Randy Wright, who "has a concealed-weapons permit, has won awards for marksmanship and believes in gun rights...is appalled by anyone who walks around with a gun in a holster."

Or that "Barclay C. Winn, who is a hunter [and] believe[s] in the right to bear arms" doesn't "understand why somebody feels the need to strap a gun on his side..."

And they're not content to just contradict themselves--they need to throw out insults about the "wild, wild West" and "big, bad macho men," just so there's no mistaking the contempt they feel for their constituents. But my favorite attitude comes from funeral director(!) Paul R. Riddick, who thinks it's "ridiculous" for anyone who's not an "Only One" to openly carry, and stormed out in a fit of pique, hands on ears chanting "Lalala" rather than listen to citizens petition for recognition of their rights because "he didn't want to dignify the group by staying."

I'd say the dignity of the proceedings went up considerably after you were no longer there, obnoxious tyrant wannabe, but you're missing the point. You're not being asked to recognize rights, you're being told. You seem to have yourself confused with someone who's calling the shots in this, pun intended, and you're hardly showing the proper level of respect to those who are. And was that crack about Bob's Gun Shop an implied threat to chill future peaceful assembly for redress, or just another calculated insult against the character of VA gun owners?

Thes ingrates don't realize the citizens were doing them a favor.

VCDL is doing a hell of a job here, and are giving the rest of us a template to follow--if gun owners would just get off the dime and actually do something...

This Day in History: October 6

I am, therefore, much alarmed for Arnold, whose Expedition was built upon yours, and who will infallibly perish, if the Invasion and Entry into Canada are abandoned by your Successor. I hope by this Time the Penetration into Canada by your Army is effected; but if it is not and there are any Intentions to lay it aside, I beg it may be done in such a Manner that Arnold may be saved by giving him Notice, and in the mean Time your Army to keep up such Appearances as may fix Carleton and prevent the Force of Canada being turned wholly upon Arnold.
