The Devil's in the Details

Pope says church's attackers are linked to devil [More]
Let's not confuse exposing subversive stewards with an attack on the institution.

La Forma de las Cosas por Venir

Census: Highest immigrant population in 100 years, over half Latinos [More]
And guess what.

Not that you'll ever hear that from Fairfax.

Stopping the Signal

News that you're not allowed to discuss - Article 11, which allows news sites to decide who can link to their stories and charge for permission to do so, has also been worsened. The final text clarifies that any link that contains more than "single words or very short extracts" from a news story must be licensed, with no exceptions for noncommercial users, nonprofit projects, or even personal websites with ads or other income sources, no matter how small. [More]
Jeez, and here I figured I was doing them a favor driving eyeballs to their sites.

I'm thinking they really haven't thought through the economic and political consequences, but what's evident is they're counting on control and on coerced funding to fuel the machine. I'm thinking like with all centralized planning, catastrophic failure will not be long off.

I'm thinking the demand for non-"authorized" information will incentivize innovative supplies.

And I'm also thinking f*** Europe. The place is on self-charted course to become the new caliphate anyway.

Guaranteed to Be a Special Evening

Join us and country icon Alan Jackson when he brings his 2019 tour to the Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis on April 27, with special guest William Michael Morgan presented by NRA Country.  [More]
I realize they don't control venue rules, but I'd rather hang on to my rights than listen to music, so we'll have to see if game rules apply to this exhibitor event.

At least they're not asking members to give it up for an Obama suck-@$$ this time. You gotta wonder who the genius that approved that one (twice!) is.

Of Course They’re Talking about Taking Your Guns

They want to take your guns.  They’ll lie and worse to do it. Gun owners are right to not give an inch and to decry “compromise” by some representing themselves as “gun rights leaders” (and their apologists) for helping the gun-grabbers with a divide-and-conquer piecemeal surrender strategy. [More]
Anyone acting as a "pragmatic" apologist for incremental infringements is abetting the enemy.

The New 'Progressive' Normal

CA Democrats Author Bill to Protect Sex Offenders Who Lure Minors - No crime if the person is within 10 years of age of the minor [More]
Give it a few years and anyone speaking out against this will be deemed a hater, subject to getting booted off the internet and their employers being harassed, shamed, and legislated against to economically exile them.

Lock N Load Redux

If you didn't hear last Thursday's segment with Bill Frady and would like to, here it is:

Life Parodies Art

Interesting conundrum. The indecency here is in totalitarians appropriating the symbols of Liberty. [More]

What do they do if someone who identifies as a woman but hasn't medically "transitioned" yet takes zis shirt off?

Forget 'How.' Focus on 'Why.'

HOW DEMOCRATS SPAWNED THE BORDER CRISIS - Sacrificing national security on the altar of open borders. [More]
Gee, I wonder why.

And I wonder why.

[Via Mack H]

Damned if They Do, Damned if They Don't?

Of course, the point of view depends on if you believe truth trumps offended sensibilities of subversive enemies of Western civilization, or if you're a member of the UK Parliament. Notwithstanding that, I do like the term "digital gangsters."

A Moderate Mea Culpa

An Apology to David Horowitz: He Was Right about Bill Kristol [More]
Actually, he didn't go anywhere near far enough.

[Via Mack H]

Can We All Get Along?

Man accused of pulling gun on victim wearing MAGA hat [More]
So the one guy's a loser and the other must not be all that sharp himself.

Following him out of the store to confront the armed aggressor "again" is incomprehensibly reckless, both from basic survival and legal standpoints.

A Protected Class

Gov. Andrew Cuomo wants to make it a felony to assault a working journalist. [More]
Will that include justabloggers?

And what happens to Bill Clinton's Rules of Engagement?

[Via Michael G]

Phi-Ops

There is a type of hostile tactic that's been given a new name: DARVO. [More]
Philosophical warfare. All the cool commies are using it.

Two Can Play That Game

A memorial to Karl Marx at a cemetery in North London has been defaced for the second time in less than two weeks. [More]
Too bad armed security protects this abomination.

[Via Michael G]

What Do Facts Have to Do with Anything?

So if Nancy Pelosi, Kamala Harris and Elizabeth Warren ever follow through on their threat to declare gun violence a "national emergency," be sure to check their math. [More]
Why? Since when do truth, rationality, and logic influence communist propaganda or persuade ginned-up mobs?

We're the Only Ones Appealing Enough

In the last four months, the Department of Maryland State Police has appealed nearly two dozen decisions by the Handgun Permit Review Board, a panel that has attracted scrutiny from Democratic lawmakers for its tendency to issue handgun permits contrary to state police recommendations. [More]
Because if we let mere citizens have them, why, we'll no longer be "Only Ones"...

[Via Roger J]

A Universal Truth

Universal background checks will never truly be universal because criminals do not comply with the law. This legislation will not change criminal behavior — it will simply make illegal normal behavior that can, in fact, save lives. [More]
Yeah, but those manipulating the useful idiots know that.

It's not about safety, it's about control.

Again with the Wrong Questions...

Fox 2 discovers no Illinois state law enforces seizure of FOID cards and weapons [More]
Sorry to call on you so soon again, sir.

Is the problem the cards and the weapons, or the fact that they're leaving people deemed too dangerous to have them out in gen pop?

[Via bondmen]

The Wrong Question

Should Missouri felons have voting rights restored once they’re released from prison? [More]
Mr. Pynchon just slapped his forehead again.

Can they be trusted without a custodian?

[Via bondmen]

Domestic Enemies

Protesters take over Border Patrol museum, deface pictures of fallen agents [More]
Tactics like these make more likely the day when the victims will have had enough and will fight back against the bullies.

Garbage In

The environmental impact caused by illegal immigration, and the trash left behind, is increasingly being found in areas that are more fragile and remote. [More]
I've raised this point before: If the Brady Campaign had standing to sue the Bush administration over its guns in national parks rule because no environmental impact study had been performed, why can't the feds be sued for this -- and in front of the same federal judge who agreed with the Bradys?

[H/T Wirecutter]

A Triggering Event

Folsom Lake College reported a poster of a cartoon frog to the local police department. [More]
Enforce existing thoughtcrime laws.

And a Little Child Shall Lead Them

Oregon lawmakers seek to lower voting age in state to 16, so teens can ‘protect their future’ [More]
I saw this movie...

Representation without taxation, eh...?

To each according to what serves our interests, from each according to what we say.

The Aptronym Arms

The Washington Free Beacon isn’t revealing the street address due to safety concerns expressed by her office. [More]
Huh. So you mean all those D.C.-style "common sense gun safety laws" AOC would impose on the rest of us don't really work? That must be why the story was revised to delete a quote from the complex promo that said it “promises to take luxury apartment living to a new level.”

Because, funny thing, those exact words appear on the "About" page for "The Collective," and talk about an appropriate name for a place where a bunch of well-heeled District "progressives" live in luxury...

We're the Only Ones Penetrating Enough

A former Philadelphia homicide detective was arrested Tuesday and accused of grooming and sexually assaulting male witnesses during criminal investigations, then intimidating them to keep them silent... [More]
Well, after all, it is the City of Brotherly Love...
