‘Fast and Furious’ Report a Reminder of Deliberately Unresolved Accountability

What that ultimately means is the 2020 elections are probably the last best hope any of us have, but only if Republicans take back the House, and then, only if they see a political advantage in exposing criminal cover-ups of years gone by. Barring that, it will be a job for future historians. [More]
Some of us are committed to keeping this story alive in spite of the political and media establishments.

Ollie v. Wayne

Defendant Lt. Col. Oliver North (Ret.), by his undersigned counsel, hereby submits his Answer and Counterclaim to the Complaint in this action. [More]
Does it seem to anyone else that the reason Wayne is hanging on so fiercely is because he foresees bars in his future?

Fool Me Once, Shame on You

NRA endorsed? My first thought was how many times they have been wrong. [More]
Mine too.

And that, of course, is the problem. All indications are this Reeves guy is good, so it's telling that a Fairfax endorsement can actually complicate things for him.

I've been wondering if -- due to the Wayne-created scandals -- politicians will start to view NRA kudos as a liability. And among disappointed gun owners, credibility lost is awful hard to regain.

We're the Only Ones Punishing Enough

They should also get t-shirts.

Particularly contemptible are all the "If you're happy and you know it clank your chains" suck-ups in SLPOA's Facebook post comments.

We're the Only Ones Undercharged Enough

A St. Louis police officer has been convicted of handcuffing a man and then driving him around and berating him over an argument the man had with the officer’s girlfriend. [More]
Whereas you or I would have been convicted of kidnapping.

You Can't Stop the Signal

I wonder what they'd do if David Hogg showed up and started haranguing them...?

Two Sets of Rules

Convicted pedophile Jeffrey Epstein never once checked in with city cops in the eight-plus years since a Manhattan judge ordered him to do so every 90 days — and the NYPD says it’s fine with that. [More]
Like his pal's wife proved, rules are for the little people.

The Blind Leading the Blind

About 50 teenagers from across the country filed into a Johns Hopkins University lecture hall Tuesday to begin an intensive, four-day summer course on gun policy and research taught by experts in the field. [More]
"Experts in the field"?

I remember single-handedly taking on several of those at one time and not breaking into a sweat before.

As if by Design

Christine Blasey Ford scrubbed social media profile before sending letter detailing alleged sexual assault ... "Female classmates and friends at area schools recalled a heavy drinker who was much more aggressive with boys than they were." [More]
That might explain the need to scrub. Her internet profile, too.

The task now is to see if professionals were involved to make sure she was scrutiny-ready, and if so, who paid them.

Faked Check

I’m not aware of anyone claiming that HR 8 would create a firearms registry. We correctly note that it would enable the creation of such. [More]
As is the goal:
"Universal background checks ... Effectiveness depends on the ability to reduce straw purchasing, requiring gun registration ..."

We're the Only Ones Flushed with Loss Enough

San Luis Obispo police chief loses gun she left in restroom [More]
Hey, it's not like she's the "Only One" who has wiped out.

Reality TV

A Texas reporter in the Rio Grande Valley took her camera to Rincon Village and witnessed approximately 300 migrants crossing the border and turning themselves in to Border Patrol agents. The crossings occurred Tuesday night between 6 p.m. and midnight. [More]
How do you say "Kabuki" in Spanish?

And Yet Again

Trump drops bid to add citizenship question to 2020 census [More]
So no "executive order"?

If you're not going to do something, don't say you're going to. Anybody who actually parented their children knows that.

Are we actually going to do it this time?

My Money'd be on Gorka

Conservative activist storms across lawn to confront 'punk' CNN analyst who invited him 'outside' and said 'get a job' in front of a chanting crowd ... Karem started the melee by telling the conservatives that they were 'a group of people that are eager for demonic possession' and Gorka shouted: 'You are a journalist, right?' [More]
Projection and a sense of "real reporter" superiority?  And he writes for Playboy?

And he couldn't figure out he was already outside?
