Government sources tell TIME that the two Air Marshals, are allegedly involved with the possession or transportation of cocaine, and may have been paid several thousand dollars to move the drugs.Corruption amidst the elite enforcers. I am stunned.

The shield of law enforcement (badge) does not come with integrity. If the officer candidate did not bring it with him, the shield will not imbue him with attributes he didn't possess.
Because of the nearly free pass for infractions of the law that have been institutionalized by the law enforcement and judicial hierarchy for law enforcement officers, the job has become extremeley attractive to aspiring miscreants. Even if caught and punished (which is unlikely in the second instant)it is sure to be less harsh punishment than were he caught as a non-leo.
