My attempt to find solutions to crisis situations (such as this one) on their website failed. Hmmm. Not one word.
They would probably say that a shotgun would only complicate the situation and do more damage. The neighbor should have picked up a stick or a rock. Wait, first he should have dialed 9-1-1. Yes, then he should have retrieved a stick, or broom, or something. But a gun? Oh, my, never! Only bad things happen when a gun appears.
