An Inconvenient Truth

Pennsylvania has more guns & more carry licensees per capita than any other state. Yet – if Philadelphia is subtracted from the equation— our state’s homicide rate is as low as Western Europe’s and our violent crime rate is lower than England’s.

Is there a link to the full text?

The links to your references only look like p.r. pages about them. Or did I miss something.

AlanDP: It's not yet on the Internet.

I contacted Dr.Covey and he has graciously given me permission to post it in its entirety, which I will do tomorrow.

It is really good stuff and something we don't see too much of--an academic speaking plainly to legislators about why they're wrong when they propose gun control.

Uh, since when is being "lower than England's crime rate" anything to brag about?
