The principle lawyer behind the Parker lawsuit contends that recent actions in Congress to overturn Washington DC's gun ban endanger their case, and further speculates that this is a desired outcome for some in the gun rights movement. This week's poll, in the left margin, asks what you think.

Good to see you back David. Hope the wekend went well for you and your family.
Both the USurpremes and the Congress have failed miserably in the simple tasks they were delegated. Chief among which was to protect We The People's Inalienable Rights. It should be plain for all to see that they are miserable failures.
As long as the ball is in either of their courts - we lose. The only way that I can see to win. Is to scare the living hell out of ALL branches. And compel them to get back to doing it right.
Then, keep a tight leash on them all in order to prevent it from happening again.
This is one on which I don't know how to vote. On the one hand, I think it's pretty clear that passage of H.R. 1399/S. 1001 would sink Parker v. DC. On the other, I don't see that legislation passing.
In the end, I don't know what the NRA is trying to accomplish, other than grabbing some attention--but at least I don't see this going far enough to do any real harm.
