Orwell Would Be Envious

Garrett treats us to an inside look at the Department of Peace and Nonviolence, a proposal from the collectivists that presents an interesting paradox, just in case anyone is paying attention to the irony...

Y'see, Sec. 102 enumerates "Responsibilities and Powers," and you don't have "powers" unless you have enforcement capabilities, that is, the means to back them up. And what are one of the powers the neo-Marxists wish to establish sole province over?
[A]nalyze existing policies, employ successful, field-tested programs, and develop new approaches for dealing with the implements of violence, including gun-related violence and the overwhelming presence of handguns...

Well shoot, that ain't new. That's the same citizen disarmament strategy the communists always employ when they gain power--right before they get to work on culling the dissidents who oppose them, and the useful idiots and useless eaters who are no longer needed.

Here's hoping the day will come when the signatories will regret adding their names to such a treasonous document.

This is the single most frightening piece of legislation I have ever seen. What we see here is the wave of the future, UNLESS WE BEGIN TO TAKE A STAND. All this nonsense from "progressives" is the result of decades of movement building on their part. It is time for us to begin building a movement of our own. We need to stop reacting to their initiatives and instead move to DISMANTLE 70 years worth of over-reaching government "progress."

George, I couldn't have said it better myself. That is exactly what we should be doing. Now if we could just get a few million of our fellow gun owners to get off of their buts and organize as tenaciously as the progressives/socialist/communists our grievances might actually be listened to. I would welcome and participate in a peaceful demonstration on the steps of congress with a million of my fellow gun owners. Fully armed of course. That should be our goal. Nuff said.

I've been voting against kookcinch since I started voting. just how that lunatic keeps getting elected when he's done nothing is beyond me. Talk about voter fraud and stealing the election.

He's a groundhog, only pops up when a TV camera is around and does NOTHING productive. I've written him many times and all you get is the form letters vaguely related to when you demanded to know about. For instance, I asked where the government had the authority to criminalize drugs and got a form letter about legalizing medicinal pot.

I'm really wondering, when you live in a different world like these folks do, does taking drugs bring you back to where the rest of us live like some kind of far out trip? If so, let's get them a prescription so they can share in the misery they create.

My favorite is Sec 102.(b)(4):

develop policies to address violence against animals.

WTF?
