Maximum Mike's Anti-Gun Ties

From Ryan Horsley:
"Maximum Mike" has shown his true colors and every gun owner needs to contact their Senator to oppose Sullivan's confirmation.

Speaking of which, I neglected to mention that Saxby Chambliss cheesed out of the controversy with weasel words.

As a general rule, I've found any time someone begins a sentence with "Rest assured," they may as well be holding up their middle finger.

I write this with 100% conviction.
Even if Ron Paul were elected, they would stone wall him every step of the way just as the media has. To think somehow writing senators, congressmen and the like is going to make a difference. Party affiliation means nothing. We can clearly see by their actions, republican and democrat, what their intent is. The only question remains , are we going to close our eyes to the facts and keep waiting for the wind to change direction? Some of my regrets are I have not stood up, we have not stood up! A few hundred wayne Fincher supporters storming the court house, UNARMED, whisking him away would have gotten a lot of attention and sent one hell of a message as well as caused many more like thinkers to rise and come forward in support. I know I am one of those. What could they do? Shooting just one of us would have led to their own demise.

Sorry--if you were writing this with 100% conviction, you'd identify yourself and lead the effort you recommend.

In Texas, Sen. Cornyn responded to my letter with a generic "I support the 2nd A" response, but would not answer the issue of placing a hold on Sullivan nor address him specifically other than to say he'd been nominated...

Sen. Hutchinson has not responded.

David, my fear is if I lead the effort no one would have my back. Just like no one had Wayne and the others backs. What is evident among the trumpeting 2A group it is easier to throw money at the problem (help fund defense funds, and candidate donations) than to really put yourself under the looking glass, or feel vulnerable. I think to be effective we have to put less focus on the 2A and use the angle of unconstitionality based on overreaching government. People who don't like guns tune us out the minute you mention them. We need to take lessons from the anti's they have been very effective and given the cicumstances we find ourselves in I don't think anyone can argue. I can't help envision the students in tiananmen square. We can make a bold statement! We NEED to FORCE a dialogue. This is as true as ever; "We must, indeed, all hang together or, most assuredly, we shall all hang separately."
