Anniversary

So which of these is the anniversary of the Waco raid? Celebration? Consecration? Commemoration? Perhaps, you may come to understand as I do, that it is a little bit of all three.
Mike Vanderboegh has written another gem, this time about an anniversary we discussed yesterday.

I have not been able to break away to do the formatting needed to post it, but see that Chris Horton has saved me the trouble.

Go on over and give it a read.

That's a momorable moment in the Waco footage Mike points out, when he ATF attackers had been repelled by untrained but armed citizens, and had to beg with their hands up. I'm going to go rewatch that now.

I have a Thread on LP dedicated to Waco. It's been up for years and has some good links in it.

I've had the privilege to view the "uncut" footage and 911 tapes. Very interesting. Around this time of year, I usually take a moment to listen to the first hour or so of the 911 tapes in silence. To remember. It's haunting.

"Celebration? Consecration? Commemoration?"

May I suggest, "conflagration".
