American Idolatry

For the first time in any of their respective campaigns, presidential hopefuls Hillary Clinton, Barack Obama and John McCain are all uniting for one cause: "American Idol."

I have a better idea.

Let's get them to appear on "The Moment of Truth."

What question would you ask them if you could hook them up to a lie detector in front of a national audience?

I would ask the candidates if they believe that the point of the constitution, the bill of rights, the declaration of independence, and the common experience of the United States of America was to establish the US citizen as sovereign and seperate from government, and that the only purpose of government is to ensure the sovereignty of the individual. It's not about guns it's about freedom.

Why do we need to ask them anything?

They are politicians, that's all we need to know.

Do you believe in the capacity of Americans to care and govern themselves, in the absense of government?

Would they like a cigarette and a blindfold? And would they prefer to be shot or to be hanged?

Don't know if lie detectors are any better than breathalysers,
for which see Lawrence Taylors's
blog at duiblog.com

I've heard much better reports about brainwavescience.com but
can't decide on just *one* for
either Clinton or McCain. cycjec
