I notice anti-gun champion Beau Bridges co-stars, meaning he's not above a little unprincipled profiteering, either. Yeah, study "martial arts," Beau--and be sure and let the next guy who puts a gun to your head know how good you are at it.

I really hate it when they make movies from a game. It's never as good as the game is.
Much like with making movies from books. Once you've read the book, the movie hardly compares.
Max Payne was a great game. It had a very "indoors during a heavy winter storm" feel. And it also featured "bullet-time". Very cool in its day.

I think my favorite part of the game was when you are entering a very active industrial center in the middle of nowhere and discover this is where the drug "Valkyr" is being produced. Up until now you have been fighting the Mafia, but now the mob boss has been gunned down by someone higher-up. In fact, you witness it happen while you are infiltrating the mob-boss's mansion.
A group of heavily armed "suits" with a pant-suited woman behind them.
You enter the underground area of the "Cold Steel" mill where you find an old army bunker. You notice the seal of "Project Valhalla" on the floor..
Good game, albeit it does carry the old "War on Drugs" nonsense.

Pant suit? Were there any corkscrew landings and sniper fire?
It's a movie that I won't see because of casting, unlike G.I.Joe, which is due to "political correctness" where the history is changed to make it less American in order to sell overseas.
It's shit like this that has kept me out of Kali and all the other "film" areas. I'm not going to contribute or sell out to make a buck on these asshat's propaganda bandwagon.
Don't go to the theaters, don't buy them, don't rent them. If you HAVE to see it get it from the library.
