Rational Thinking

Food Rationing Confronts Breadbasket of the World

Well then, we'd better all disarm. Some wacko might try to hoard when things get really tight.

I knew I should have saved the receipts for all the beans and rice I bought LAST year. Guess I'm a "hoarder." I also have a high-capacity water filter. I guess that makes me an enemy of the state.

isn't there an executive order or two saying that anything of use could and would be confiscated, such as food and water stockpiles?

I propose a "victory garden" every able front lawn and tree lawn in the country should plant a suitable crop, wheat or whatever instead of useless grass. How much land is that in the suburbs alone? Crisis averted, or at least diminished. Too bad places like where I live that'd get you a ticket and a visit to mayors court.

I also can't help but remember..."A quart of wheat for a denarius, and three quarts of barley for a denarius; and do not harm the oil and the wine."
