Recently, Congressman Mark Kirk from Illinois 10th District introduced a bill to create a “Secure Social Security Card”. Illinois gun owners, why put up with it? Who cares if his "democrat opponent" is also an evil gungrabbing collectivist? You need to teach the GOP the object lesson that betrayal will not be rewarded, but will be properly punished. There is no "lesser of two evils" rationale to use as an excuse here. Aside from the "R" he campaigns under, the guy's a democrat Fifth Columnist.
The only way to change this is to force Kirk out. That means, as odious as the prospect is, helping Dan Seals beat him.
Do, it, make it known you are doing it, and let everyone know afterward that you did it. And make sure they know why.
That is, if you're serious about sending the party a message and getting an acceptable candidate next time around.

In addition to Kirk and Seals, there's (for those willing to tilt at windmills) a third alternative.
Whatever works, 45. The object here is to oust Kirk and be able to demonstrate that gun owners did it.
Since it is evident that "winning" is all they care about, that's the only thing that will make the GOP take notice and mend their ways.
Don't you remember, David? "A vote for a third party candidate is a vote for the Democrats." A gazillion GOP True Believers have told me that, so it must be true ;-).
And I say so what? Having your throat cut by someone who professes your love for you is just as fatal as having it cut by and enemy. Only, your enemy is watched more closely.
Pardon the poor grammar and mistaken "your" for "his". These assholes get me so angry that I am sometimes almost dumbstruck.
In our two party system, 3rd party candidates have the effect of pulling the split party towards them.
Unfortunately if you want to oust Kirk, you probably have to vote for the Dem.
However, if it is a close race, and enough vote 3rd party, they can cause Kirk to lose and still not have voted for the Dem.
I agree that ousting the traitors is a good idea...unless the opponent is campaigning on an anti-gun platform---you wouldnt want to give the impression that that particular platform is a winner.
Anon, if normally republican voters go 3rd party, the draw will be away from Kirk.
And even if Seals is totally anti-gun, and you vote for him anyway to spite Kirk, the advice is to make it known what you're doing and why--to preclude just the impression you fear creating.
The bottom line is to deny the victory to Kirk--and if you do it the way I recommend, the GOP will know full well why.
I believe gun owners everywhere should do this to RINOS on a regular basis and have been recommending this for years. We coulld have nipped this "moderate" trend a long time ago if we were serious, especially since most elections are won by only a few percentage points. That no one does and gun owners continue to vote out of desperation has led us to this mess where our backs are truly against the wall.
There is no such thing as "moderate" betrayal.
I'm done being betrayed. Kirk was the last "person" I thought would do this (around here). Good-bye Kirk!!! You have seen my last vote.
