We're the Only Ones Dismissed Enough

Judge Gayle Guynup sentenced Higdon to four months in the Sonoma County Main Adult Detention Facility and Lusk, who also recently resigned from the Santa Rosa Fire Department, was sentenced to a six-month term.

Both also were sentenced to three years probation and are eligible to apply for electronic home confinement. Higdon also is eligible to apply for work furlough. They are to turn themselves in at the county jail June 20 if electronic home confinement is not approved.

Both men were also charged with possession of machine guns, illegal possession of assault rifles and destroying evidence. Those charges were dismissed at sentencing.
Must be nice to be an "Only One." You don't think you or I would get a break like that, do you?

Or how about Wayne Fincher?

I think it IS wrong to destroy guns. There are a lot of Rulers I would like to see punished for that particualr offense.

What IS it with these Federal people? How is it that they don't charge people with actual crimes, but send people to prison on conspiracy convictions? Hell, even Martha Stewart has learned not to talk to these people.

This is beyond FUBAR.
