Avoiding Tyranny

TSA has its rules and Williams has his, and one of mine is to avoid tyrants and idiots.
If only they'd let us.

True, we can for the most part avoid flying.

But the thugs impose themselves on us in so many other ways.

Gotta say, TSA screeners don't let anything distract them. Letters from your hip replacement surgeon about metal implants, a warning that an elderly traveler is very unsteady and needs his wheelchair at all times...
And their administration says they're doing a PERFECT job. No evidence of abuse, never. The airlines depend on them, so your carrier will send you a nice apology email but that's all.

I have no intention of ever flying again. Because I most certainly would be arrested. And I would be arrested for real assault and interference once they stepped over the line.

I thank God i don't personally know anyone who works in the field because I would be tempted to beat their asses just on general principles. Ergo, I don't seek them out. God help them if they seek me out.

That airline radio ad that goes "you are now free to move about the country" really chaps my hide.

We're not free to move about the country.
We're not free to move our money around as we like
We're not free to correspond over the phone privately
We're not free to correspond over email privately
We're not free to correspond over snail mail privately
We're not free to speak freely
etc.

I'm doing my part to sink the airlines for allowing this TSA abuse. If the airlines made a lot of noise you can bet the congress would step in and shut down this foolishness down.
Keep in mind boys, you don't need to fly to be supporting the airlines. If you mail a letter or pay bills by mail you are supporting the airlines. The government contracts the airlines to fly mail. So pay your bills on line and do everything you can not to pay bills by mail that go out of town.
