The Kenneth Stokes Solution

Jackson City Councilman Kenneth Stokes said he wants to ban the sale of guns at pawn shops.
Of course he does.

Yo, genius--how did you attain such mastery of cause and effect?

By the way--give my regards to the mayor.

On another site, he was quoted as saying everyone should turn in their guns; then, when everybody learns how to behave, anybody can have them.
Somehow they never get around to Phase II.

Nah, I'll keep mine to make sure those that get out of line with me and mine, will pay full price for such foolish endeavors.

He can't legally restrict firearm sales. He knows that. Our MS law has a preemption clause in it.

That he keeps getting re-elected however, is a bigger indictment on my state than his foolishness on banning guns.

Don't be so sure Stephen, Atlanta's mayor managed to override Georgia state law as regards the airport.

Law enforcement isn't about enforcing law. It is about maintaining status quo. They accept their pay to keep those in power, in power. Not the law, not the constitution, not human decency will interfere.

And the courts protect them while they betray the 99% of country that is not in positions of political power.
