Canada Needs Laws to Make Breaking Laws Illegal

A Winnipeg man caught selling submachine-guns to an undercover police informant was sentenced yesterday to seven years, four months in prison.

Andrew David Janz, 36, pleaded guilty earlier this month to one count each of conspiracy to import firearms, conspiracy to traffic in weapons, possession of goods obtained by crime, and possession of a firearm while prohibited.
Y'know, if Canada would just pass another gun law, stuff like this wouldn't happen.

The tighter they squeeze, the higher the profit for smugglers.
Why just sell black-market SEMI-autos when the penalty is the same for full-auto rock-and-rollers?
If ObamcCain passes total gun control here, joining certain "clubs" will enable one to get all manner of guns without a background check.
Look at the underage drinking statistics. It's just human nature to push limits.

It would be interesting to know exactly what model the guns really were. Ruger 10/22 semiautomatic "submachine guns"? Remember, DC has declared that any gun with a magazine is a "machine gun".
