WRSA Grid-Down Medical Course - Everett, WA - 9/12-14

This two-day (16 hour) course of instruction will prepare the motivated outdoorsman to treat life-threatening and function-threatening medical conditions in the wilderness without access to classical EMS and medical resources.
If TSHTF, it's gonna be about more than shooting...

While a 16 hour course is a great place to start, I do hope they don't give students the idea that they are now prepared to deal with major trauma on their own - by any means!

A "little" training can sometimes be a greater danger than none at all, if those so "trained" do not understand the serious limitations of it and become overconfident.

An essential part of any training is the ongoing practice and, hopefully, meaningful experience to put that training in perspective.

Without that, this course will not be terribly helpful a few years down the line when a situation develops. How much do you remember of a skill you learned once and then never practiced?

Get the training, then volunteer with a fire department or something so you can actually USE it.
