Hyperbole

Across the tri-state area, homeowners are up in arms over property tax bills. [More]
No they're not.

They should be, but they're not.

Boys this one is huge for our side!
We all know that property values are going down, down, down across the US. There's no way these folks property values went up 50 percent. What this is, is these people are being looted or better robbed by their own government. They have demanded pre-kidnap ransom on their homes.
NJ government, "hear us now, you have one chance to keep us from stealing your home by our armed goons if you pay us 50 percent more money in our extortion on your home".
The people of NJ have been disarmed and are totally helpless to defend themselves or their property. I feel zero symphony for these people. Because they elected some of the worst Marxist gun grabbers in this country. Frank Marxistburg being one of them. I see these people as classic examples of what happens when you sell your souls to government to take care of you. Maybe they will get it, they are now slaves to government parasites who are no heart being filthy low life scum who hate us because we are free. You see parasites are not free, they are unable to make it in a free world and need the guns and laws to force other people to take care of them.

I do feel sorry and angry on behalf of the minority who voted sanely. They need to learn the lesson that majority rule is not permitted in a republic. Then they need to TEACH that lesson.
One way would be phone trees. You know, a group leader calls a member, that member calls ten other members, who each call ten others. Except each person calls the tax assessor's office, and the mayor, and the aldermen. At the office and at home. No justice, no peace, or peace of mind.
For a start.
Meanwhile, get those biceps and lats in shape for dragging people across their desks. It's basically a rowing motion. Remember to lift with your legs.

"If they don't we're going to do everything in our power to vote them out in May," Hahn said.

That instantly put me in mind of something I read: "Front sight, vote. Front sight, vote."

Seems appropriate to the situation.

Defender, you are correct in your point that the folks who voted as freedom loving Americans in NJ are victims. I'll agree to a degree, limitedly. Once they saw that the boat was going over the falls no matter how hard they paddled. They should have got out of dodge. Being they didn't they have to live with a subject to be abused by parasites.
