This Day in History: March 15

You'll forgive me if I depart from my typical War of the American Rebellion theme for just this one day? [More]

I just spent the last few minutes googling the Latin.

Badass.

It's a good idea to remember how that worked out in the end. Killing a tyrant doesn't mean you won't end up with an even worse tyrant once the civl war is over.

Hence "Thus ALWAYS to tyrants."

Ha! I just got finished reading Cicero a couple of nights ago.

As Cicero said, they should have finished off Antony. And they should have finished off Octavianus (The boy Caesar who finished of Antony).

Let this be a lesson! When your Republic becomes a democracy ... tyrants bloom.
