Finney's momma and daddy produced an idiot. And, he is dead.

Hopefully, that particular line of idiots has been terminated.

I'm well aware that my comments will be taken as cruel and coldhearted. I have no sympathy however for those who knowingly engage in dangerous behavior and who are seriously injured or killed as a result of their activities.

To paraphrase Robert Heinlein - "Stupidity is always fatal."

I actually wasted a portion of my life reading the comments at the link.

Someone claiming to be a family member is all offended by the "attaboys" being handed around - and writes that "the hundred dollars it would have cost the pizza shop owner wasn't worth (the thug's) life".

I have to agree, but she misses the point - the THUG made that decision when he walked in with intent to rob. He had already decided that his life (or the pizza shop employee's life) WAS worth that hundred dollars. That was why he had the shotgun - to enforce his will.

The shop owner/shooter simply accepted his decision.

Sendarius, you are absolutely correct. Stupid can be costly. And should be when it is self-inflicted.
