Rep. Peter King Plots Terrorist Act

Here's what I get from King's bill: They will be able to put a person's name on their "prohibited" list using redacted documents that can be withheld from the victims under the guise that releasing the information compromises national security. They will be able to do this without having convicted that person of a thing in a court of law--the accusation is enough.

At least the Salem witches got a trial, could face their accusers, and hear all the "evidence" against them.

This is intended as an in-your-face threat against activist gun owners, a way to chill their agitation, and ultimately a way to prohibit them from "legal" gun ownership. And they'll get to the less active ones next. [More]
These evil sons of bitches have drafted a declaration of war.

Here's today's Gun Rights Examiner column. Regulars here will realize the importance of sharing it.

Being threatened affects some of us in quite unexpected ways. Like ticks being pulled, we dig in harder.
We predicted that rules for foreign enemy combatants in Iraq, etc. would soon be applied to domestic dissidents. That speech would be classified as an ACT for that purpose.
Right here, right now, the sun is shining and the birds are singing. You could almost imagine this is still the America you were born in. Almost.

The one question David didn't ask was: Do you think these people with full intent are trying to pick a fight?

James Moran of Virginia's contact page:

"Welcome to my email messaging center. Your thoughts, suggestions and ideas are important to me. ..
On average, I receive close to 500 constituent letters, calls, faxes, and emails each day. In an effort to cut down on costs, be environmentally friendly, and continue to respond to the concerns of Northern Virginians in the 8th District, I am beginning to respond to some inquiries and opinions by email rather than paper letters.
Please Note: This service is for current 8th Congressional District constituents of Virginia only and will not accept messages from zip codes located outside of the 8th District. Congressional courtesy dictates that Representatives be given the opportunity to assist their own constituents."

Environmentally conscious. Congressionally courteous.
Here's a valid 11-digit zip code for interested parties:

ALEXANDRIA VA 22314-2632. The one for his district office.

Defender, will he take money from people outside of these zip codes?

Good idea, defender--if someone want to get a city and zip for the rest o these rats, please post them here in "comments."

Then, when you email them, do one more thing: Make the street address "III Sipsey St."

If someone wants to spearhead this, please provide valid cities and zips for each of the congressthings sponsoring this abomination by entering a comment to this post.

My congressman is Spencer Bachus of Alabama. I think he will do the right thing here, about guns I think he may have always done. I will email him just the same. By the way, good question about that out of state money, I get request for that all the time cause I once upon a time gave $25.00 to thr R party. Never again.

Are we talking about the same Rep. Spencer Bachus here, tjbbpgoblll? Spencer "It may be necessary to ban some assault weapons to keep hunting rifles and guns from being outlawed" Bachus?

45 Superman ; if he said that it got by me. He is my rep. in Ala. and usually good on gun rights but I haven't read his NRA or gunowners rating.

This article should be an eye opener. Also see the reaction on Sipsey street.

Look there is nothing in the Constitution that gives government any power to take any guns away from any citizen. In fact the Constitution makes if very clear that government was clearly told that it could not take even one gun away from one citizen. Yet millions of citizens are not allowed to own guns because they can not get them from the FFL. Another point, where did the government get the power to even start the FFL scam. Its also clear that the government doesn't have the power to do the FFL thing as well.
Look its only been 40 going on 41 one years ago that the government put in place Hitler's 1938 gun laws. Before those laws went into effect citizens could go to ACE Hardware and buy a firearm. No paperwork but for the federal reserve units of flat paper. The government has come a long way with Hitler's gun laws being enforced in this country. Drip by drip away goes our Constitutional rights. Which reminds me I got to get back to that TV or I might miss something important.

I haven't been back to this article or there would already be cities and zip codes for emailing the other conspirators, and "Congressional courtesy" be given all the respect it gives us: zero. I HAVE emailed my own Congressman and Senators about King's bill, though. Moran is a false Virginian and a long-time albatross around the necks of freedom-lovers.
I'll get to the e-addys tonight and post them here.

Average Joe:

FWIW, the timing of these acts (the .mil participation in local police matters, both DHS reports, the Holder comments re AWB2, etc.) strongly suggests a pattern of provocation.

Folks who plan to either do nothing or "draw the line at my front door" had best get out of the way.

The Washington crowd wants and needs a fight, and if they can't provoke one, they'll stage one.

Soon.

That's how they do business now.

I'll share my secret formula for finding valid 9-digit ZIP codes. Go to the offensive party's website and find their home-city office snail mail address (you won't be mailing anything, remember), such as Chris Smith's:
1540 Kuser Rd Suite A-9
Hamilton, NJ 08619
Then go to www.usps.com, the Postal Service's website, and click "Find a ZIP code" in the red bar at the top of the home page. Copy and paste the street address from the critter's website. (Manually type in City and 5-digit ZIP because Paste only fills in one line on the usps.com search form.) Zippy will provide a valid 9-digit ZIP for you from the critter's district. Zap, you're are now a valued constituent.

CENTER CITY OFFICE PARK
1540 KUSER RD STE (Range A1 - A9)
HAMILTON NJ 08619-3828

Go back to "Contact Me" on the critter's website, and have fun.
Remember, all our address are belong to 111 Sipsey Street, no matter the city.

It is time to actively work on denying any politician who would impose these laws any political future. Run for office yourself or identify someone who will act on your behalf. Isn't that what a republic is all about?

Anonymous, I like your idealism.
I bet you're about 23.
GREAT people ARE running. They're the ones you hear of once in the Big Media, in between the daily worship of the Big Two candidates.
There are organizations that could publicize these people and make them viable candidates, but they won't, on the grounds that these people... are not viable candidates.
Until people stop using government to deny OTHERS the rights THEY don't agree with, this will go on. Even a constitutional republic fails under such abuse. I can almost remember the few years when we actually were one.
National defense, print and mint money, ensure fair interstate commerce, contract someone to deliver the mail. And not much else.
Twenty years ago, the Federal Yellow Book directory of agencies was as thick as a dictionary.
