Savage on Olofson

Listen to Len Savage and Aaron Zelman on "Talkin' to America" at JPFO. [More]

Also from JPFO, "The Gang" trailer has been flagged at You Tube for "inappropriate content."

Now who would do that, and why?

one commenter suggested the flag is due to the trailer showing a picture of the license the feds apparently made up as a joke, at some point in history: it says "federal nigger hunting license."

in a strictly technical sense, i'd say that simply displaying the word "nigger" would garner enough flags from the site community to explain the verification step, irrespective of the symbolic connection to reality presented.

and, in a strictly human sense, it's understandable.

but that doesn't mean it isn't ignorant and feeble-minded to be offended, whipped up into an emotional frenzy, by a word. one will never "rise above" if one is a simple reactionary.

i am not going to suddenly have sympathy for the very same majority of youtube users who, on any other given day, churn out some of the most disgusting commentary in some of the most broken english i have ever seen in my entire life.

That's not the message that I received.

It seems that they want to track (by other than IP) who viewed the video.

Either that, or YouTube will be overun with videos of Turkish soap operas. Oy. OTOH, I have run across things there that would make a billy goat hurl. When the bureaucrats get around to regulating everything on the net they can, I truly wonder what they will do with it.

I always enjoy Len's views and what he has to say. However he didn't say much about Olofson that the rest of us didn't know. It was more like he was using the situation from the injustice of the Olofson case to let folks know that this is bad news for all Americans and not just gun owners.
My hunch is there's a lot going on with the Olofson case because the news on this case is very limited. That's fine with me, I'm not going anyplace and I'll wait to see which way the ball bounces.
I do know that Sebastian and the NRA are not in my personal views working in Olofson's best interest or gun owners at large best interest with the impact this case can or will have in damaging the Second Amendment.
