Ok, just how does "recording" the number have anything to do with tracking down this deadbeat thief?
The only way I can see the numbers helping to actually TRACK her is if they were in chips that gave off radio signals - and would have to be implanted with the boob job.
IF these implants had tracking chips in them, I suspect that hip replacements, etc. also might contain them.

Deleted my explanation when I shorteneed that. A link on the implant fraud page led to the passport article.
They don't say at all in the article but possibly she had previous implants removed. If so then they could have used the number on those to track her.
At least we won't have to worry about this kind of thing under obamacare.
