Your Tennessee Dining Guide

In today's Gun Rights Examiner column, I included this quote:
Some restaurateurs were also opposed to the bill, saying it would hurt business in an already struggling industry. Randy Rayburn, owner of Nashville's Sunset Grill, posted a sign in his window earlier this week saying “No Guns Ever.”
That's this place.

So 2001 Belcourt Avenue, Nashville, is officially a "gun free zone." Anyone entering that premises is putting the lives of themselves and their party into Randy Rayburn's capable hands. What he's prepared to do should some predator decide to capitalize on his stupid sign and offensive attitude toward gun-owning patrons remains unsaid.

I suppose you could ask him.

Also on our list of dining establishments that expect you to put your life in their hands because they don't trust you is Rooster's Sports Bar and Grill in Rocky Hill.
Dave Nguyen, general manager of Rooster’s Sports Bar and Grill in Rocky Hill, says guns will be banned at the business despite the recently passed “guns-in-bars” legislation.
Trust your safety instead to highly trained career bouncers with tasers. Yeah, that makes sense.

If they haven't already started one, I think Tennessee Firearms Association should follow the lead of Ohioans for Concealed Carry and maintain a database of establishments that don't "allow" gun owners to make the choice for themselves.

Free WarOnGuns "No Guns/No Money" cards are still available for download at several sites linked to in "comments" here.

In Texas we have a pretty good resource for this at

http://texas3006.com/

It allows you to search various ways as well. Texas is albeit a little more clear because of the strict sign requirement rather than the moronic sign Randy Rayburn has. It is a project well worth starting for TN gun owners.

Psssst...Randy...there may already be someone in your restaurant with a gun...I'd hide under a table now...

Gosh. I am not convinced people not having guns in bars is a bad thing. I sure as heck wouldn't go to a bar full of people with guns. At the same time I think every citizen should speak with their wallets. I know I do.

You got a plan to stop the bad ones?

theohterryan; really? How the Hell would you know? On the other hand I have been in many bars and restuarants where more people were armed than not. I have been shot twice, but never in a bar or restuarant. Neither time was I armed. Unlike the bars where good people as well as bad were armed. Nobody wanted to dance to that tune, but an unarmed person anywhere is an invitation for a criminal asshole to start the ball.
