The tragedy that led to the Adames lawsuit in Illinois occurred eight years ago, when 13-year-old Billy Swan aimed and fired a Beretta pistol at a friend who had come over to play, Joshua Adames, who also was 13. The gun belonged to Billy’s dad, a Cook County sheriff’s deputy. Billy had taken out the gun’s clip before aiming it, believing that would make it harmless. A bullet that had remained in the gun’s chamber killed Joshua.So is Billy's dad hoping to make a buck off his incompetent complicity in the death of a child? That's probably the most disgusting act of blaming others I've ever read about. Seriously.

But at least he helps prove the point about Cook County "Only Ones" being more trained with guns than the rest of us. Or more trustworthy.

Damn, that is disgusting. This proves only Illinois only ones should be the only ones allowed to bear arms in that state. How do you not know that's how the weapon functions?
Never point a gun at anything you do not intend to destroy. Simple.
The pistol did not kill anyone - ignorance and stupidity did. Why would anyone point a gun at another person and pull the trigger unless their life was in danger? Now, rather than accept the fact that THEY are responsible for this tragedy, they decide to blame the gun maker for not making an idiot-proof gun.
I find it odd that that the Cook County Sheriffs Police would have no documentation of training its officers during defensive combat tactics and hand to hand conflicts that dropping the magazine will NOT fail to make the pistol inoperative. This is inconceivable....
But the 2nd city is full of ambulance chasing bottom feeders that have passed the bar exam.
