put the gun away. I don't own a gun and I am big enough to handle anything that comes my way.

Bully for you.

But some are not so physically formidable. What are they to do when attacked by someone who outsizes them--especially someone of your self-described superhuman stature and prowess?

Besides which, you're deluded. Ain't no man alive can make the claim you just did. On top of which "big" may give an advantage, but you didn't say "fast." You didn't say "knowledgeable." You didn't say you had the skill or ability or experience to go up against not just some really tough sumbitch who knows how to fight , but against multiple tough guys, or against an animal. You didn't say you had the heart for up-close physical combat, or the will.

I know men who do. Funny, they're all gun owners.

Say--you didn't tell us how your bigness would prevail against someone who's armed...

Or help win freedom from tyranny: Forget the rifles, men, send in the big guy! He can handle anything!

But if you actually believe your own line of crap, why so anonymous? Why not tell the world who you are and where you live, and that you're proudly disarmed?

If you truly "can handle anything that comes [your] way," such a demonstration would not only prove your point, if you play your cards right it can make you rich and famous.

Still, I can't help but suspect you're just an incompetent and a fool, especially with the attitude you just displayed here.

you can't help someone who is looking to get into fights, looking to be physically hurt. you just have to hope they survive their first tangle, to learn.

if you know anyone with "big man" syndrome, try to get him interested in animal's website:

http://nononsenseselfdefense.com/get_attacked.htm

http://nononsenseselfdefense.com/arrogance.html

...or any other similar clearinghouse of related information.

i realize this is something of a catch-22. one alternative is to convince an arrogant "big man" to go out and buy a handgun. consider the consequences of either of these. maybe look for other options, if you like, but websites make for good private reading.

"big men" need to be defused on their own time, in private, so that nobody sees their "weakness." nevermind that they display it every time they confess (they think their bragging) to being a big man. the psychological angle will not usually get you anywhere, here.

Assuming we're interested in helping him, instead of just stepping back and allowing life to teach him.

Probably the same Mr. Bravely Anonymous that left a comment on my site.

Wow is all I can say. Ok, I am 6'7" and weigh 300lbs. I am strong, muscular, and big. I have been called "big man" since I was 17.

And I know a .45 would drop me in a second. And I own a .45, because I know that "I am big enough to handle most situations" but not big enough to handle any one who is armed.
