So, to get a marriage license, I have to prove I can A:Fuck.B.Get and hold a job.C:Raise children.D. Remember my wifes' birthday. And pardon the thought, I've never driven a Bushmaster 70 mph down the highway, at rush hour. I've heard that driving is a priviledge. Don't know bout' that there. Driving is a right, not a privilege. We accept driver licenses because we've given in to socialized roads, unfortunately. In addition, there is no real threat of the gov denying people a license or confiscating their vehicle. Adams is a moron.
We also should point out that to buy a car or use it on private property, no license is required. To use it on public property requires a license. No one is arguing that the USE (i.e, discharging) of firearms outdoors should not be regulated.

Handle firearms EXACTLY like automobiles.
You only need a license to operate a firearm on public property.
Anyone can buy a firearm without any kind of license or title whatsoever, provided they pay cash, and have it towed to their private property ... even a 10 year old can legally buy a car on ebay provided he can mail the dealer a wad of cash, and pay someone to deliver it to him.
I guess Frank Adams wants firearms treated the same way. Pay cash, and have your Ma Deuce delivered. No permission required as long as you stay off the public streets with it.
Also a car license is good everywhere in the US, no matter where it is issued.

Zach, you should really be careful of such sweeping statements. I know a LOT of people who do not accept such regulation in any way, shape or form.
I'm one of them. And I'm not going to argue about it either.
We are self governors - self regulators. We don't want or need any nanny to tell us how to live or force us to be good neighbors.
Carefully consider the FACT that those with no desire to be good neighbors are careless, or downright criminal no matter WHAT the "laws" or regulations may be.
The "LAW" or regulation itself (nor the punishment for breaking it) does not keep people from hurting others. The response of peaceful and responsible people, actively defending themselves and their neighbors, makes criminal behavior dangerous and mighty inconvenient for the criminals.
The imposition of the regulations, however, eventually creates helpless victims and damages or eliminates the mechanism that actually has any prayer of reducing real crime.
Don't expect to impose your regulations on me without a fight.
