Too bad for Hendrick he didn't wait to do this, at least until we can make sure violent cops get sentencing exemptions. Hopefully, for his sake, the department will find he acted within established protocol...

the sentencing shouldn't come in to play as he wasn't on duty...but of course once that passes "only ones" will argue they're ALWAYS on duty as congress has given them the special more equal under the law permission to carry damn near anywhere at any time.
