Why Won't Press Question Bloomberg Gun Show Motives?

This strikes no one as... creepy? This sounds like someone who should be commanding a monopoly of armed force?

Forgive some of us if we suspect all the pots and pans Bloomberg is banging over out-of-state gun shows is more a matter of generating tons of free publicity, stoking his insufferable ego and imposing his will on all American gun owners, and less about combating violent crime in the Big Apple. [More]
Today's Gun Rights Examiner column challenges the adage that there are no stupid questions. There are, however, plenty of useful idiots in the establishment media.

Bloomberg should be locked up for conducting an illegal, unauthorized investigation regarding FEDERAL firearms laws.

Too bad, the cowards in DC are supporting this petty tyrant.

Markie Marxist sez: "Bloomberg is being a good Marxist by helping to advance our Marxist gun ban agenda. Why would my commie compadres in the media want to question his motives? It just wouldn't be common communist sense for them to do so."

You know, of course, Chas, that "Markie Marxist Sez" would be one hell of a blog for daily comments on the headlines of the day...?

Since warrants and suppenas take time to develop I am hoping that Tn. or Texas will grow some balls. Of course he probably doesn't do those things where there are right .govs. The Feds and the BATF'turds should have something to say about it also but with the justice department in our nation they won't.

I don't know if anyone else has drawn this analogy or not... but to me Bloomberg's complaints seem so similar to what Mexico was saying about the U.S. in general.
It seems to me that in both cases they are turning their head on the crime in their own jurisdiction of responsibility and pointing the finger to something unrelated and saying "see, this is the problem... it's not our fault".

Why? Why miss an opportunity to attack property rights and the right to bear arms and freedom in general. Not to mention a last vestige of americana-gun shows?
