Huh--I see they're posting Tweets and they're now in Newark. Does this mean they won't announce their destination and dates in advance, so maybe people can greet them? Armed and openly carrying, where feasible?
And Huh again--all the comments so far appear to be solidly in the "disarm us for our own good" camp, almost as if they primed the pump or something. Let's just see if they entertain reasoned discourse:

Nope. No reasoned discourse at all. Pure, unalloyed propaganda. How do I know? Every comment section I've seen under every anti-gun article I've read in open forums has at least a few pro-gun comments. Some of them are extraordinarily well-written. Some of the worst articles are literally buried under pro-gun comments, which eviscerate and destroy the anti-gun whines. This site has NO pro-gun comments, and most of the anti-gun comments are badly written.

If they weren't screening out pro-gun comments, there would be some by now. But there's not one pro-gun comment. They WILL NOT hear from us. We don't fit their agenda.
Zero critical comments allowed. Zero. That's your right to free speech as far as Bloomberg is concerned. What a tyrant! He doesn't just want our guns, he wants all our rights. Every last one of them.
When are they going to Philly?
If they're in Newark now (or yesterday, 2/16), Philly can't be too far off. If I have enough notice, I do believe I'll load up with the SKS and my sidearm and go greet them in Philly.
I'll look more thoroughly through their site *shudder*, but I didn't see that list of planned stops either. Hell, if I learn of them anywhere within a 4 hour drive of me in PA I'll go greet them with my legally purchased weapons and a smile :)
Well crap. They're in Reading, PA right now (as far as I can tell). That's close (about 1-1/2 hour drive), but I can't leave work on this short of notice and I have something going on tonight until 5:30 or 6:00 after work.
I will check their site again for progress later tonight and again in the morning, and if they are still in PA I'll take off work and drive to them.
I truly do hope I can "welcome" them to PA properly.

"Jared Lee Loughner lied on the form 4473 that is used by the ATF to record a firearms transaction at a licensed fireams dealer. In doing this, he committed a felony. Loughner was not in the system as a "prohibited person", and therefore would have passed any background check used by a firearms dealer, including the current NICS check system, which he *did* pass.
"There are already over 20,000 federal firearms laws on the books. There are many more state and local laws. In New York City, it is virtuallly impossible to legally own a firearm. Yet, there are still hundreds of murders with firearms in the City every Year. The same goes for Chicago, where it is literally impossible to legally own a handgun.
"Criminals will get firearms, no matter how many laws are passed. Criminals, by their very nature, ignore the laws. This proposal by Mayor Bloomberg does nothing to affect criminals, and will only restrict the rights of law-abiding citizens to own firearms."
It immediately pops up with "Your comment has been submitted for review." which tells me that they are eliminating any comments that don't fit with their agenda.
