When I first saw the OFCC alert about exotic animals on the loose in Ohio I thought that the Canton "I'm gonna put lumps on ya" police officer had been reinstated to active duty.
The best part of the TV news coverage was ABC network anchor Diane Sawyer asking in her customary exasperated voice how a convicted felon was allowed to keep these animals locked up. There was no attempt to demonstrate any relevance of the question to the situation.
It appears odd that she did not question how a convicted felon was able to obtain the firearm that he used to kill himself. After all, Diane Sawyer did attempt to show her expertise on what a convicted felon is and is not allowed to do.
