And if you don't think you're up to resisting domestic enemies, why, Heaven forbid that you would stand up to foreign ones.
Shame on Lou Rockwell.com for publishing this defeatist, cowardly screed for cattle car riders and slaves. Just because Karger doesn't have the imagination or the guts to realize a workaround to dying on his own doorstep doesn't mean better, that is, more experienced/informed minds, aren't prepared to be a significant deterrent to tyranny, and that those who would gather up the guns don't know that they can be reached before and after a raid.

I guess it depends on if you want to live or not. We are behind the 8 ball if the .gov unleashes it's fury. After all the reason the mujahadeen have not been defeated is the military is using ROE that is ridiculously humane. I have a feeling against it's own population the ROE would be significantly different, especially at the beginning I can see a cowardly use of drones at targets already spotting themselves (cell phone gps). I am not saying do not resist, but realize it is a dangerous game you are playing against some potentially savage op-for.
Do you really want to call existing under the rule of such an adversary as you describe as "living"? I do not, and I doubt many in this land would. While some will sheepishly choose servitude, there will be enough who will choose to resist that will make leviathan and his servants pay a price for their treason.
Whether you are armed or unarmed, when they want you they will come. How will YOU greet them?

Reading between the lines, I'd say Karger himself is a neocon of some sort.
Most gun owners I know aren't and have never been neocons.

Maybe. But I don't think the Soviets were pulling many punches, yet the result was the same.
The main thing people forget is that Police and Military are severely outnumbered in these situations. If the call was made to confiscate firearms, they would have to start on one side of the country and work there way to the other side for any chance of completely confiscating all the firearms. Which leaves the non big city folks time to prepare for war.
I would once again merely note that waiting for them to show up on your doorstep is NOT a winning plan. Find out where "Law Enforcement" live in your AO. A "company car" in the driveway is a clear enough sign of evil therein. Delivering a free cocktail through their bedroom window at 2 AM is fully in accordance with the very Rules of Engagement they will use against you, and in so doing you are unlikely to bother their neighbors until AFTER you have left the area.
But do be aware of security cameras on their home, and on neighbors' homes as well. And if you have EVER held a position that required a security clearance, such as any who ever swore an oath to the Constitution as part of the military, be SURE you do not leave anything behind with your prints on it...
This only confirms the conclusion I came to roughly twenty years ago. That holding the doctrine of Libertarianism is nothing more than an excuse for an empty shell to fell good about himself.
I didn't check to see if Rockwell is still ranting about Ayn Rand.
