I would only ask, if you "bug out", what do you REALLY expect to gain? Do you think that they WON'T come for you, WHEREVER you are? That they won't use drones and snitches to find you?
The hives are the core of their power. But as I have said before, the hives cannot exist without reliable electrical power. Start with transportation. How many flights of stairs are people willing to climb on a regular basis? And what percentage of hive real estate is ABOVE that level? Without elevators, that real estate is effectively shut down.
Then there's the horizontal transportation. Even for those hives that do not use electricity directly for that, how much transportation can they field when the only way to fuel vehicles is with hand pumps?
Then you get into the REAL problem for the hives. "Diversity" is their "strength". But the culture of that "diversity" is kept in check by the street lights and security cameras, since the urban "youths" understand they will be caught and dealt with should they attack enough people, or the wrong people. Without power for the hive, that concern disappears. And the gun confiscators will RAPIDLY have more important things to do than wander about SWATting gun owners. If the resistance strikes the high voltage transformers BEFORE they are up-armored, the hives will cease to exist. And without the hives, the Crony Communists cannot rule. There are only a limited number of those transformers available as spares. And if the resistance takes out more than that number, it will be YEARS before they can be replaced. So the REAL decision is whether we shall play the "No Fort Sumter" game until they adequately protect those transformers, as well as whether we shall play that "high moral ground" to our extermination.
THOSE are the "salient questions" that one really needs to think through...
