Alabama Department of Transportation bans firearms at rest stops. [More]I have a feeling they're going to wish they hadn't done that.
I called ALDOT to verify this and ask for public comment, and they told me their guy will call me back.

David, if you need verification, I live in the Montgomery/Auburn area, and have pictures of the "no guns" signs on the doors of two different Rest Area buildings on Interstate 85.
Photos would be great. Looks like ALDOT doesn't want to talk to me. I didn't think they would, but it never hurts to show you tried. Mike is already suggesting an I Will Not Comply response--what would they do if dozens of armed citizens open carried? Seems like an invitation to create a Streisand Effect...
