Note how their "About" section doesn't tell you a thing about who is behind it. And their website is registered by proxy through Panama.
No Guidestar hits, either. They really don't want people finding out who they are. Again, seeing as how trolls are cowards, who would that surprise?
And what else do we know about trolls? Oh yes-- they're sadists and psychopaths. And infiltrators/disruptors.
I wouldn't worry overmuch, though. The AstroTurf peels right up if you want to look under it. For instance: 481 Facebook page "likes"? 580 Twitter followers?Their only YouTube video has 18 views, one of them being mine when I clicked on the link just to see how successful they are at propagating their message?

Here's their nonprofit corporate filing with the Secretary of State. See the agent's name is Philip Lloyd? He was also Director for the Everytown for Gun Safety Action Fund for I-594.

Dave, I agree Bloomberg is a real threat to gun rights but I think it's a mistake to focus on him too much at the expense of other bad actors deserving attention. I'm not saying you do that, I'm making a general point based on what I've read in pro-2A blogs, forums, magazines, etc.
The 2014 Seattle Times article you linked to starts off as follows: "Big donors supporting background checks for gun buyers have so far come from the region’s particularly well-heeled: Bill Gates, Nick Hanauer, Steve Ballmer and Paul Allen." How do we know that these home-grown Washington state gun grabbers aren't behind GLW? I remember looking at the I-594 campaign contributions report and Bloomberg wasn't the top contributor and contributed far less than half of the total, IIRC.
It seems to me that the evidence suggests that Hanauer is much more important player in Washington state gun politics than Bloomberg. He gets far too little scrutiny, IMO.
DVFP: In this case, Phillip Lloyd and the folks doing the incorporation filings are the key. I've been warning for years about Bloomberg setting up political organizations in all the states to locally execute the national Everytown strategy. And for the record, I have written about Hanauer, et. al. on several occasions.
Philip Lloyd is a Seattle area local with longstanding ties to Nick Hanauer that transcend and predate I-594 (see e.g. here and here). So what's the evidence for a direct Bloomberg connection to GLW?
I included the link to the Workman report where he notes GLW was announced by WAGR. That group's filing agent and treasurer Lloyd is also director, secretary and
treasurer for EVERYTOWN
FOR GUN SAFETY ACTION FUND FOR I-594, established five months earlier in 2014.WAGR's president Zach Silk also lists Everytown on his credits.
No one is saying others haven’t given lots of money and lent their names to the effort—as I said, I’ve written about that on several occasions. Bloomberg is the one with the national organization and individual state entities and the ground troops to coordinate.
