Conservative for Gun Control?

So, what can conservatives support? [More]
How about"shall not be infringed," instead of the "Enforce existing Intolerable Acts" neocon crap you're pushing?

Your solution is going after "people who render our current background-check laws ineffective"?  Why are you for prior restraints that enable registration in the first damn place? Hell, one of the "we will not comply" goals is to make that as "ineffective" as possible, through bypassing it altogether and through civil disobedience.

Sending out the feds to pick up guns for transfers they "wrongly approved"? And stepping up on Lautenberg domestic confiscation prohibitions?

Anyone who can't be trusted with a gun can't be trusted without a custodian. No amount of avoiding that  is going to change that. Every net set trying to skirt that reality with half measures can and will sweep us all up

This business of thinking you can offer a sop to those who demand it all and they'll leave us alone is as absurd as believing you can offer a scrap of meat to a circling pack of jackals and they'll be sated and leave you alone.

You don't cede an inch of ground unless it's a feint to draw an enemy in and destroy him.  You don't allow that enemy to establish a secure beachhead from which he will prosecute further incursions.

So basically, throw a RIGHT under the bus to protect "quail-hunters in Texas and .223 enthusiasts in Idaho" Fudds and "sportsmen"?

You get the same answer Chuck Schumer and any other gun-grabber gets: No. Your move.

Notified today by several custom gunsmiths that they can no longer ship ivory after July

More than one issue that is way past non compliance
