[More]I guess if you repeat the phrase "due process" enough times, people will tend to overlook that those who haven't been charged, let alone convicted of a crime, will have a fundamental right forcibly stripped from them -- all while a fundamental truth goes ignored.

I do. I would hope we are all dangerous; otherwise, why carry?
I don't want evil people to have access to firearms; but there is no rational way to prevent that.
If the NRA and others continue to confuse 'dangerous' with 'evil' then the NRA will continue to be foolish.
Everyone should keep in mind that there are already laws on the books for Involuntary Civil Commitment to handle these situations.
So the alleged urgency for these laws is based on a LIE.
