Besides, It's for the Children

The Republican Leader of the U.S. Senate from Kentucky and a top Democrat from Virginia officially introduced a bill on Monday which would increase the minimum age to buy cigarettes and any other tobacco products from 18 to 21 years. [More]
Hey, if you can't trust Republicans and Democrats working together for a good cause in the spirit of bipartisanship with unlimited, undelegated and usurped powers, who can you trust?

I went to my last three years of high school in a rural North Carolina county. The minimum age to purchase cigarettes was 16, or maybe 14, I forget. We had a concrete trough just outside the lobby and gym, filled with sand, for the students who smoked.

I know! Let's raise the voting age to match! If they cannot be trusted to make personal decisions before then, they CERTAINLY cannot be trusted to vote in a US election!!
