Looks Like Rain

From the "Team Trump/Pence" Week 21 "Love of Country" email:
We all agree that we are blessed to be Americans, that our children deserve to grow up in a nation of safety and peace, and that we are strongest when we are unified, working together for the common good. We remain united as we work together for a safer America. We may have our differences, but we do well, in times like these, to remember that everyone who serves in our nation’s capital is here because, above all, they love our country. We pray for Congressman Scalise, his family, and all those affected by this week's inexplicable assault to democracy.

Deactivated Facebook Pages Gave Clues to Scalise Shooter’s Influences

I did some screen captures anticipating closure so that a record would remain on Hodgkinson’s influences. “The only reason why any of us walked out of this thing, by the grace of God, one of the folks here had a weapon to fire back and give us a moment to find cover. We were inside the backstop and if we didn’t have that cover by a brave person who stood up and took a shot themselves, we would not have gotten out of there and every one of us would have been hit — every single one of us,” said Bishop. “He was coming around the fence line and he was looking for all of us who had found cover in different spots. Anyway, in addition to being an overprivileged whiner with a megaphone, he (along with that bottomless well of talent, Ashton Kucher) is also an anti-gun fanatic who, if his side is going to be consistent, ought to be prohibited from buying one.

The New Jersey machete decision is important because it rejects a “spontaneity” requirement for arming yourself at home (the state’s theory that you could pick up a weapon against an imminent attack, but you can’t come to the door with the weapon just in case). But it’s also important because it reaffirms that the Second Amendment protects not just guns but other weapons as well. [More]

Gun Rights Examiner Archives Being Restored

For whatever reason, the Robots.txt blocking of my old Gun Rights Examiner articles from the Wayback Machine don't seem to be on guard of late. That said, I'm not taking any chances and have begun the laborious process of recovery.

I resurrected an aborted WordPress blog I experimented with a few years back and have begun posting there.

Note that I'm only concerned at this point with doing a basic copy/paste. Formatting and trying to resolve no-longer-working links will need to wait their turns.

Some of you have kindly volunteered to do some restoration work. Thank you for that, and I won't discourage you from creating mirrors. That said, I'm going to keep doing my thing and will call for help if I run into a brick wall.
