Police claim a teenager accidentally shot himself over the weekend while trying to build a handgun out of spare parts and a 3D printer, a weapon commonly called a "ghost gun" because they do not require a license to own. [More]
If the kid trying to build it, he screwed up in a way that makes all that other hand-wringing irrelevant, meaning it's inserted to spook the ignorant. And since you don't need a license or registration to own a gun in Virginia it's fair to wonder if "Veteran journalist Bill Atkinson (he/him/his)" is simply representative of the quality of journalism we can expect on the topic of guns from USA Today (a Gannet Publication)?

Vincent Nemorin was put in handcuffs after questioning the second grader's teacher at PS 193 Wednesday about why his son was allegedly left sitting in feces for hours ... He has an order of protection against him so Nemorin will not be allowed to drop his son off at school or pick him up until the matter is settled. [More]
Doesn't that mean he can't have guns now?
I don't suppose we can find out who the "teacher" is so we can verify her Democrat bona fides?

SAF FEDERAL LAWSUIT CHALLENGES NEW YORK’S STUN GUN, TAZER BAN [More]
I'm surprised that the state precedent doesn't take ...uh... precedence.
There's a lesson though -- the other side will not give up one inch without a fight to the finish.
I guess it helps when you have unlimited resources.

MSNBC intelligence analyst Malcolm Nance said Monday on MSNBC’s “The ReidOut” that the Republican Party was becoming an “armed insurgency.” [More]
You have to remember that for "progressives" every day is Opposite Day before that "intelligence analyst" bit makes sense.
Keep pushing, useful idiots, and I see a self-fulfilling prophecy taking shape.

Eddie Gallagher Announces Pipe Hitter Foundation will Return Donations if Requested for Lt. Col. Scheller’s Campaign [More]
The fatal tactical error Scheller made is in not realizing that Trump is an avatar for the people who voted for him because they believe in the agenda he campaigned on, so he in essence attacked them. For a guy who rails against divisiveness, that wasn't very productive.

Now the school district wants to work with RPD to avoid arrests and create alternatives for non-violent offenses involving students. Also, leaders don’t want officers showing up to schools in full uniform. Instead, they will have a more laid-back look. [More]
Too many "disproportionate" takedowns, eh? Can't have that. And did anybody see anything about sidearms?
Ah well, the new dress code could have a bright side: Nothing looks worse than a guy in full uniform hiding behind a car while a maniac is inside slaughtering children.
