Lawyers to talk gun trust rule change on Armed American Radio
Attorneys Joshua Prince and Tom Odom will be guests tonight on the nationally-syndicated Armed American Radio program to discuss a proposed rule change for National Firearms Act gun trusts, host Mark Walters announced today. Also appearing in tonight’s lineup will be “Emily Gets Her Gun: But Obama Wants to Take Yours” author and The Washington Times opinion page senior editor Emily Miller, Colorado recall leader Nick Andrasik, “Infringed” documentary co-producers Peter Jay Gould and Gary Theroux, AM1280 “The Patriot” Operations Manager Lee Michaels, blogger and trainer George “Mad Ogre” Hill, this correspondent, and AAR producer Sean “Seanto” Young. [More]
Today’s Gun Rights Examiner report notes an
incredible lineup presenting concentrated, fast-paced information that you just won't get anywhere else. Plus I'll tell you how some of us survived encounters today with multiple anti-gun "progressives" and an ignorant "Authorized Journalist."

Armed American Radio Redux
From Mark Walters:
I think last night was an exceptionally good show, even more so than usual:
Live from Minneapolis studios of 1280 AM The Patriot. Guests include Washington Times Senior Opinion Editor and author of Emily Gets Her Gun, Emily Miller. CO. gun rights activist, Nick Andrasik, armed robbery victim, Lee Michaels, Emmy Award winners Peter Gould and Gary Theroux, David Codrea, Seanto, the Ogre and MORE!Well, the Ogre didn't make it this time, but Firearms Industry Consulting Group lawyers Joshua Prince and Tom Odom did, to talk about the administration's new gun trust rule. During the third hour "roundtable," I got a chance to talk about spending yesterday afternoon at a gun rights rally at a park in Oberlin, OH, where the town council is trying to implement a gun ban in defiance of state preemption law. We ran out of time before I could tell about the TV "Authorized Journalist" asking gun owners to draw their weapons so she could get a camera shot of them. Fortunately, everyone besides her was too smart and informed to bite.

Roberts Screws Us Over as Expected
2019-4-5 UPDATE 1: The Supreme Court has denied the latest stay application. (Justices Thomas and Gorsuch would have granted.) We are in the process of requesting a stay from the D.C. Circuit and will seek en banc rehearing.
2019-4-5 UPDATE 2: If a person wishes to turn in their affected bumpstock device, Chief Counsel Joshua Prince of Firearms Industry Consulting Group, who is representing Firearms Policy Foundation and numerous other plaintiffs in Guedes, et al. v. ATF, et al., suggests that individuals surrender the item under protest to preserve your rights. You can read more about that process at the FICG website here. We will continue to aggressively litigate this case and work to defend American gun owners from this unconstitutional and unlawful ban mandated by President Donald Trump. [More]What I don't see is a way for plaintiffs who received a stay and retained possession of their property to surrender it now without getting arrested.

Spinning Law Out of Thin Air
In dissent, Justice Antonin Scalia said the language of the law does not support making it a crime for one lawful gun owner to buy a gun for another lawful gun owner. [More]Attorney Joshua Prince notes on Facebook:
There is NO law enacted by the Congress regarding straw purchasers! This was made up in whole cloth by the ATF! This is a FAR worse decision than anyone is comprehending. NOW, administrative agencies can enact criminal laws, which have NOT been enacted by the Congress!UPDATE: Workman weighs in.

ATF’s New Appropriation Bill
I briefly touched on the bill here.
Joshua Prince has some additional thoughts [More]
And he also has identified and asks "ATF’s New Shenanigans with Electronic Acquisition and Disposition Records – Who’s Ready to Challenge Them?"

ATF advances executive gun controls with proposed trust rule change
That no violent crime-reducing justification has been advanced pointing to gun trusts as a problem shows this move to be about the Obama administration flexing its executive action muscles. [More]This afternoon's Gun Rights Examiner report notes there's more than one way to skin us of our rights.
UPDATE: See addendum from Joshua Prince.

Twofer
What do you think? Would you buy one of these guns? [More]No, I would not.
For me, anyway, it's a matter of conditioned expectation/safety.
I also don't trust ATF not to rain on everybody's parade.
