Wrapping the Investigation Up

In an email dated October 4, 2011, Attorney General Holder’s top press aide, Tracy Schmaler, called Attkisson “out of control.” Schmaler told White House Deputy Press Secretary Eric Schultz that he intended to call CBS news anchor Bob Schieffer to get the network to stop Attkisson.
Schultz replied, “Good. Her piece was really bad for the AG.” [More]
Tracy is the same flack who got cover for DOJ with Media Matters and dismissed Mike and my bar complaint as "specious [and] frivolous."

Naturally, "progressive" media doesn't care so much about what this means to freedom of the press as they do about making sure their idols stay worshiped. It's not like they're interested in the truth or anything...

Waiting for Tracy

Tracy Schmaler, a spokeswoman for Attorney General Eric Holder, has not responded to a request for comment in response to this revelation. [More]
She probably considers it "specious" and "frivolous."

Plus she's probably busy feeding talking points to Media Matters.

Still no word from Katherin Eban if it was Tracy who was potentially committing a criminal act to feed her smears out of John Dodson's personnel file...

DOJ and Media Matters coordinated Fast and Furious reports

“Nice to know the Gunwalker criminals are paying attention,” Mike Vanderboegh of Sipsey Street Irregulars observed in his response to the story, which included emails where Media Matters’ Matt Gertz told DOJ spokeswoman Tracy Schmaler that Vanderboegh was “three inches away from being an insurrectionist.” [More]
Today's Gun Rights Examiner report notes some media matters that Media Matters would rather not have attention called to them. It also includes links to responses from Mike, from Dave Workman and from Kurt Hofmann.

A Wholly-Owned Subsidiary of the Holder Justice Department

Well, well, well...look who's been giving them their talking points:
Emails reveal Justice Dept. regularly enlists Media Matters to spin press
The emails sure fixate a lot on Mike. I like the way Gertz says he's "three inches away from being an insurrectionist."  Just how long is one, anyway, Matt?

Mike responds. As usual, I'm jealous.  What the hell do I have to do to be condemned as disreputable by these characters, put a national socialist in uniform?

I'm also kicking myself. Here's an email I sent to Mike and some of our advisers in April:
I also note Holder spokesflack Tracy Schmaler is the one who dismissed our Bar complaint as "specious" and frivolous."

Media Matters. I never did like puppet shows.

UPDATE: Fox News weighs in.

A Match Made in Hell

DOJ and Media Matters colluded...? [More]

Gee whiz, really?

And it involved "specious and frivolous" Tracy Schmaler and...well, what would you call these guys...?

An In-Your Face F-U

State's third production for our FOIA request on Fast and Furious is as devoid of anything resembling compliance as the first two. [More]

That's why we've been compelled to sue.

Tracy Schmaler. Now there's a statist flackette from the past. Figures they'd give her credence as the final word...

I need to see if I can write in more detail on this. I have so many irons in the fire it's tough finding time for everything that deserves it, and in this case, for whatever reason, reports on legalities typically don't generate the reader interest the red meat stories do -- even though they ultimately may prove more important.
